Job Overview

Position Summary: Oversees the extraction of cash boxes and ensures the accurate counting of cash and vouchers from gaming device bill acceptors. Responsible for maintaining precise records and the secure storage of all gaming-related documentation.

  • Inspires, trains, coaches, and guides staff to ensure Team Members receive the necessary leadership and resources to meet established goals.
  • Creates and nurtures a supportive environment for Team Members.
  • Implements departmental standards, guidelines, and objectives, while managing administrative processes for effective operations.
  • Collaborates with Surveillance and Security to establish and maintain drop routes.
  • Monitors count room activities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
  • Ensures the proper removal and counting of all vouchers and currency from gaming bill acceptors.
  • Manages the storage of gaming-related records and documentation.
  • Prepares and generates reports on gaming devices, cash, vouchers, and winnings at the conclusion of the count.
  • Handles minor maintenance and repairs of mechanical equipment, notifying vendors and supervisors of any issues.
  • Addresses problems within the scope of authority and recommends solutions for issues beyond this scope to the supervisor.
  • Keeps the supervisor informed of relevant activities and developments.
  • Reviews the performance of subordinate employees to ensure adherence to management standards and reports any deficiencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: In addition to the duties outlined, each Team Member is responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Participates in mandatory training sessions provided by the Company.
  • Obtains and maintains necessary licenses.
  • Performs duties in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Takes necessary measures to prevent minors from gambling or loitering in gaming areas, consuming alcoholic beverages, or purchasing tobacco.
  • Maintains knowledge of relevant ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to the department.
  • Understands the Property's initiatives to address problem gaming.
  • Reports any known acts of misconduct.

Position Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office, are essential. The ability to articulate ideas and make independent decisions is necessary.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees subordinates who may supervise other employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit(s).
