  • Delivers exceptional guest service to both internal and external patrons. Embodies the #AddLife culture in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
  • Responsible for cultivating a supportive and motivating atmosphere for Team Members.
  • Addresses issues within the position's authority and suggests solutions for matters beyond the scope of authority to the supervisor.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive information in accordance with established procedures and company policy.
  • Greets guests and assigns seating based on their preferences.
  • Withdraws cash from the Main Bank and prepares the cash drawer before the shift (must be ready 10 minutes prior to scheduled time).
  • Checks cashier supplies such as register tape and settlement sheets prior to each shift to ensure adequacy for the duration.
  • Welcomes each guest upon arrival; processes cash, credit cards, or comps from customers as payment.
  • Ensures accuracy in calculating bills on the cash register; provides correct change and issues receipts.
  • Closes the register at the end of each shift, including counting the drawer and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Returns cash to the main bank and leaves a copy of the shift checkout in the designated area.
  • Ensures assigned section is prepared for service prior to the start of the shift.
  • Follows quality service standards; implements cost control measures (i.e., napkins, condiments, etc.).
  • Adheres to established policies and procedures regarding customer service standards.
  • Completes all assigned side work before leaving the shift.
  • Keeps the position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Attend mandatory training sessions provided by the Company.
  • Obtain and maintain required licenses.
  • Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take necessary steps to ensure minors are not permitted to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, consume alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Possess knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to the Team Member's department.
  • Understand the Property's programs addressing problem gaming.
  • Report any acts of misconduct of which the Team Member may be aware.

Position Qualifications: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License, Serv-Safe
