Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership by aligning HR initiatives with business objectives and long-term strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with senior management to develop both short-term and long-term workforce and succession plans.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including interviewing and selecting qualified candidates for open roles, while partnering with department heads to identify necessary skills and competencies.
  • Design and implement orientation programs for new hires and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Guide and mentor HR team members in resolving employee relations and labor issues, conducting thorough investigations into grievances, harassment claims, and other employee concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices, regularly reviewing policies to maintain compliance.
  • Monitor and document compliance with required training and professional development programs, including safety and anti-harassment training.
  • Oversee payroll processing to guarantee accurate and timely payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, and deductions.
  • Assess employee performance and recommend appropriate compensation adjustments.
  • Develop employee engagement strategies, securing necessary budget approvals and initiating relevant activities.
  • Review and supervise official HR documentation, including offer letters and performance evaluations.
  • Advise management on organizational policies, including equal employment opportunity and workplace conduct, recommending necessary updates.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in human resources and talent management.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings and investigations as needed.
  • Manage Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) processes, ensuring compliance with documentation and eligibility requirements.
  • Execute routine HR functions encompassing compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and training and development.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading HR functions, including Talent Management, Employee Relations, and Compliance.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and talent management systems is required, with a strong preference for experience with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing a team of HR professionals is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Experience with large systems such as SAP ERP or ADP is advantageous.
