Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership by aligning HR initiatives with business objectives and long-term strategies.
- Work collaboratively with senior management to develop both short-term and long-term workforce and succession plans.
- Oversee the recruitment process, including interviewing and selecting qualified candidates for open roles, while partnering with department heads to identify necessary skills and competencies.
- Design and implement orientation programs for new hires and employee recognition initiatives.
- Guide and mentor HR team members in resolving employee relations and labor issues, conducting thorough investigations into grievances, harassment claims, and other employee concerns.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices, regularly reviewing policies to maintain compliance.
- Monitor and document compliance with required training and professional development programs, including safety and anti-harassment training.
- Oversee payroll processing to guarantee accurate and timely payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Assess employee performance and recommend appropriate compensation adjustments.
- Develop employee engagement strategies, securing necessary budget approvals and initiating relevant activities.
- Review and supervise official HR documentation, including offer letters and performance evaluations.
- Advise management on organizational policies, including equal employment opportunity and workplace conduct, recommending necessary updates.
- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in human resources and talent management.
- Participate in employee disciplinary meetings and investigations as needed.
- Manage Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) processes, ensuring compliance with documentation and eligibility requirements.
- Execute routine HR functions encompassing compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and training and development.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading HR functions, including Talent Management, Employee Relations, and Compliance.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in HRIS and talent management systems is required, with a strong preference for experience with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing a team of HR professionals is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new HRIS and talent management systems.
- Experience with large systems such as SAP ERP or ADP is advantageous.
