**Job Summary**
Whitecap Search is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team in a prestigious hospital in NYC. This is a Monday through Friday, 8am - 4:30pm position.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide administrative support to physicians and other clinical staff.
- Document patient information, medications, and vital signs using electronic medical records (EMR).
- Perform routine laboratory tests and enter proposed orders into EMR for review and approval.
- Collect blood or other laboratory specimens as requested by physicians.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed.
- Perform routine clinical and clerical work.
**Requirements:**
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or Associate's degree in Medical Assistant/Occupational Studies.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) preferred.
- Experience with EMR systems.
