About the Role

Simpson House, a not-for-profit organization, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic team. As a dedicated caregiver, you will provide direct nursing care to residents in an assisted living or personal care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician in accordance with Simpson's medication administration policy.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide wound care, including cleaning and dressing wounds.
  • Monitor and document changes in residents' health status and report any concerns to the AL/PC Administrator.
  • Provide in-dwelling catheter care occasionally when needed.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as needed.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning of residents.
  • Document all care provided and maintain accurate resident records.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures related to resident care and safety.
  • Assist in creating, updating and maintaining resident care plans as necessary.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to maintain licensure and stay current with nursing practices through Relias online training as required under PA Regulations on an annual basis.
Requirements
  • Education or Degree Required: HS Diploma or equivalent (ie: GED) - If applicant attended secondary school outside the US, Diploma must be translated to English language if printed in native language.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse training program.
  • Licenses, Certifications, Registrations: Current Pennsylvania LPN License with no judgments or disciplinary action.
  • CPR Certified
  • First Aid Certified
  • AED Certified (Preferred)
