Chipton-Ross is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to join our team in Berkeley, MO.

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative manufacturing processes within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge production methodologies and tooling solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure seamless integration of technical solutions across diverse disciplines.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing plans, encompassing conceptual designs and program architecture.
  • Conduct in-depth producibility and variation analyses to guarantee that manufacturing processes consistently meet stringent requirements.
  • Provide valuable producibility insights for project plans and actively contribute to documenting best practices within the manufacturing domain.
  • Analyze design concepts and build definitions to evaluate their manufacturability and identify potential challenges.
  • Proactively resolve complex technical issues that significantly impact performance, cost, or project schedules.
  • Champion the adoption of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and innovative concepts within the manufacturing process.
  • Validate and ensure the production readiness of solutions developed to address intricate problems.
  • Implement lean principles and technologies to optimize efficiency and streamline operations.
Requirements
  • Possess a proactive and results-oriented mindset, leveraging manufacturing customer feedback and data-driven analytics to effectively solve problems.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as a manufacturing or process engineer, supporting the production of complex manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to create comprehensive work instructions (both text-based and graphical) to facilitate the manufacture of products.
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and exceptional communication abilities.
  • Successful completion of training is a requirement for this assignment, which may include on-the-job training or formal classroom instruction.
Education

Typically acquired through an advanced technical education from an accredited institution in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor's degree). A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master's degree + 3 years of related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
