Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY:

SAIC is seeking a qualified Project Coordinator with expertise in managing Information Technology (IT) solutions. The ideal candidate will support the organization in managing cost, schedule, and performance metrics related to data center operations, including power, space, and cooling requirements. This role involves collaboration with a team of Network Systems Engineers and Technical Advisors (SETAs) to oversee the planning, execution, enhancement, modernization, and refurbishment of the organization's data center infrastructure. Responsibilities may include conducting functional analysis, timeline assessments, requirements gathering, and interface definition studies to convert mission objectives into actionable execution specifications. Candidates should be adept at articulating detailed, specific information for their recommendations through both written and verbal communication (e.g., presentations, Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs), etc.). Additionally, candidates may be tasked with evaluating proposed implementation strategies from service providers, analyzing future mission demands against planned capacity, and assessing facility needs such as layout, power, cooling, network connectivity, data storage, backup solutions, operational systems, directory services, identity management, access control, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of general IT capabilities
  • Showcase knowledge of technology integration across physical, virtual, and cloud environments
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to provide clear updates on multiple concurrent projects
  • Conduct requirements analysis, schedule evaluations, and cost assessments (i.e., Service Portfolio Management)
  • Act as a change agent focused on translating client needs into actionable tasks for service providers
  • Prepare program documentation, including budget and schedule planning
  • Perform risk assessments of proposed service provider solutions
  • Strategically evaluate client visions and needs to identify opportunities for enhancing service delivery quality

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; a Master's degree with three (3) years of experience; or a PhD with no related experience. *Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • Possession of an active or expired certification in relevant IT domains is advantageous
  • PMP and/or Agile certifications are preferred
  • ITIL certification is beneficial

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance with a polygraph examination
