Position Overview

Cummings Electric is in search of experienced Electrical Construction Leads with a minimum of 5 years in the field, particularly in commercial and industrial electrical projects. As a key player in the electrical construction landscape, the Electrical Construction Lead will oversee the scheduling, monitoring, and management of daily project operations, ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties outline the essential functions of this role. This is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, and additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

  • Lead, mentor, and assess the project team
  • Assist the Strategic Account Manager in developing construction timelines
  • Establish and uphold schedules to optimize resource allocation and material usage
  • Efficiently plan and coordinate project materials and logistics
  • Generate and maintain daily reports, timesheets, safety documentation, and incident reports
  • Facilitate production coordination and participate in meetings with other trades and clients to address and resolve conflicts
  • Monitor production metrics to achieve or exceed labor targets
  • Organize and direct production in line with the contractual scope of work
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control initiatives
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement of materials
  • Guarantee that all installations comply with quality and electrical code standards
  • Foster and develop client relationships for ongoing project opportunities
  • Create and design effective layout and record drawings
Qualifications
  • Commitment to enforcing safety protocols on job sites
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction, specifically in leading large-scale projects within the Industrial/Commercial sector
  • Ability to supervise a team of 15 or more electricians
  • Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Active Journeyman's License is mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam and/or Salesforce is advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and comfortable with MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Willingness to travel as required for project sites
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record are essential

Employment with Cummings Electric is contingent upon a background check and drug screening; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation will be based on experience and demonstrated skill level.
