Position Summary: Our Oil, Gas & Chemical global practice is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing electrical engineering tasks for Engineering-Procurement-Construction projects in the domestic Oil, Gas, and Chemical sectors. You will leverage your expertise in industrial electrical system design to guide teams of engineers and designers while fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee electrical engineering activities, ensuring they are completed within budget by monitoring labor hours and material usage.
  • Evaluate project feasibility and suggest alternative methods based on your extensive experience.
  • Accountable for all electrical deliverables, including construction work packages, power system studies, and procurement documentation.
  • Design hazardous area classification forms and plans; engineer distribution systems across various voltage levels; conduct power system studies, including load flow and short circuit analyses.
  • Develop specifications for electrical equipment procurement.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Ensure the technical integrity and constructability of all electrical products and equipment.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing electrical conditions.
  • Engage regularly with clients and vendors to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Collaborate daily with other engineering disciplines and project managers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within EPC projects.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical roles on detailed design projects, particularly in hazardous locations.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard codes such as NEC and API.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel for project assessments and client meetings.
