Position Overview:
The Principal/Senior Electrical Engineer will be a key member of our project team, reporting directly to the Director of Construction Engineering. This role involves collaborating with engineering and construction teams to design and optimize operational facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects throughout their entire lifecycle.
  • Define engineering scope and develop a comprehensive work plan for the electrical discipline on complex projects.
  • Create electrical schematics, single line diagrams, load flow lists, specifications, design calculations, and other essential documents for FEED packages and detailed engineering.
  • Conduct power sizing calculations for industrial systems' equipment and components.
  • Identify local electrical code requirements for the relevant authorities.
  • Review and approve contractor deliverables, including equipment designs and specifications.
  • Support RFP processes for bidding contractors.
  • Identify and address issues and opportunities during all engineering design phases.
  • Provide construction support, managing transmittals, submittals, and requests for information.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to create interdisciplinary drawings and specifications.
  • Participate in risk and safety assessments related to electrical reliability.
  • Engage in site layout, 3D model, and P&ID reviews, along with safety evaluations for FEED and projects.
  • Occasional site visits may be required.
  • Conduct technical reviews of work packages to ensure safe and reliable construction, start-up, and commissioning.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering with relevant experience.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in electrical system design and optimization.
  • Proficient in designing electrical distribution systems, medium voltage power, and substations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to proactively resolve discrepancies in design requirements while adhering to project timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide electrical engineering support for large-scale projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Experience in power, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with concentrating solar energy processes.
  • Experience in electrical distribution facilities.
