Job Overview

The Business Development Manager, Technical Product Development, will be accountable for identifying and delivering new business opportunities for T-Mobile, specifically related to providing accessible communication solutions, including but not limited to telecommunications relay services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Function primarily as a Product Manager with a strong focus in creating new products and services that will benefit our customers with disabilities.
  • Structure and drive strategic partnerships and new business relationships, including development of key economic, business, and operational terms; negotiate and execute contracts with these partnerships; and manage their evolution.
  • Scout, identify and/or build new business opportunities and partnerships internally and externally, including identifying and analyzing complex market/business opportunities, evaluating key players and technologies, assessing customer and market opportunities, developing differentiated product/service strategies, creating potential economic/financial/business models, making recommendations, developing business relationships to create new strategic partners, and driving projects to completion.
  • Manage senior-level relationships with internal and external partners and with key players in the mobile and accessibility industry - both in established and emerging segments and ecosystems.
  • Develop deep domain expertise in sectors vital to T-Mobile's core strategy, providing strategic analysis and guidance (economic/financial, customer and market opportunities, key players and technologies, potential business models, T-Mobile fit, etc.) for a multitude of sectors and domains, formulating recommendations and leading reviews of new opportunities, technologies, business models, etc., to cross-functional teams.
  • Engage with and monitor the accessibility industry, including involvement in advisory boards or standards-setting agencies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Product Development, or related field (Required)
  • 4-7 years of Business development, alliance management, agile product/project management, with financial/economic analysis preferably in accessibility, consumer-focused wireless, high-tech (software, internet/new media, entertainment/content, etc.) or consumer electronics industries (Required)
  • Experience in the accessibility industry, focusing on creating solutions that improve the quality of life for people with disabilities is preferred. Additionally, a background in consumer-focused wireless technologies, high-tech (such as software, internet/new media, entertainment/content) or consumer electronics is critical. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to drive growth and innovation through strategic partnerships and emerging technologies.

  • American Sign Language (Preferred)
  • Consumer of Accessible Solutions (Preferred)
  • Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) (Preferred)
Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range for this role is $86,900 - $156,800, with a corporate bonus target of 15%. T-Mobile offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a flexible spending account, 401(k), employee stock grants, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, and up to 12 paid holidays.
