Job Overview

Midtown Law Firm is seeking a seasoned Financial Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health of our organization and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Cash Flow Oversight: Managing and forecasting cash flow to ensure the firm’s financial stability.
  • Financial Record Integrity: Upholding the accuracy of financial records in accordance with GAAP policies.
  • Reporting: Preparing and presenting comprehensive financial reports to partners.
  • Banking Relations: Overseeing relationships with banking institutions.
  • Reconciliation: Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Investment Oversight: Managing the firm’s investment portfolio.
  • Payroll Administration: Processing payroll for over 50 employees.
  • Internal Controls: Monitoring existing internal controls and collaborating with external accountants for tax preparation.
  • Tax Compliance: Filing necessary tax returns and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Insurance Management: Handling insurance payments and audits.
  • Office Management Support: Providing ad hoc support as needed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Experience in a legal environment is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks; familiarity with TABS3 is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • A commitment to building positive relationships within the firm.

This is a full-time, on-site position that requires a dedicated and detail-oriented professional.
