Position Overview

The Retail Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in the success and operational efficiency of our retail environment. This position requires a strong focus on our brand values while providing exceptional service to our clientele and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Floor Management:

  • Aligns personal objectives with the company's strategic goals.
  • Takes initiative to drive sales results and maintains awareness of personal and store performance metrics.
  • Develops both short-term and long-term strategies to meet personal sales goals.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador, embodying the essence of Tapestry.
  • Consistently demonstrates our selling and service standards.
  • Adapts to local market changes to enhance business performance.
  • Utilizes clienteling techniques to foster ongoing customer relationships.
  • Maintains a professional appearance that reflects the brand's style guidelines.
  • Provides expert product knowledge and communicates effectively with customers.
  • Engages customers by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Follows up with clients to ensure satisfaction and drive sales closure.
  • Utilizes technology and tools to enhance customer engagement and relationship building.

Operational Excellence:

  • Completes daily operational tasks while upholding service standards.
  • Maintains a clean and organized sales environment.
  • Adheres to all retail policies and procedures, including inventory management.
  • Supports the cash wrap area and efficiently processes transactions.

Qualifications

Experience: 1-3 years in a sales role, preferably within a luxury retail setting. Strong awareness of current fashion trends and market competition is essential.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.

Skills: Proficient in cash register systems and basic computer applications. Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require bending and kneeling.

Work Schedule: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required.
