Salary Range: $76k-$109k

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic product cost statements and generate relevant operational reports.
  • Monitor expenditures against appropriations and compile data for budget item comparisons.
  • Analyze completed product manufacturing costs and evaluate unit costs of finished goods.
  • Develop or enhance methodologies for cost calculation and control. Gather cost data for operational budget development.
  • Proactively drive cost improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Conduct variance analysis comparing actual, prior, and standard costs.
  • Oversee, analyze, and report on inventory valuation, production, supply chain, sourcing, R&D expenses, capital expenditures, and various other costs.
  • Track R&D budgets and actuals at the project level to facilitate informed decision-making for development efforts.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, review budget proposals, and create necessary supporting documentation and justifications.
  • Generate reports summarizing and forecasting the company’s business activities and financial standing in terms of income, expenses, and earnings based on historical, current, and anticipated operations.
  • Lead or assist in special projects as needed.
Some travel (10%) may be required during training and ramp-up phases or due to business needs.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:
  • A Bachelor of Science in Finance or Accounting, with a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, standard and direct cost accounting.
  • Experience in process/discrete manufacturing is essential.
  • Preferred experience in direct cost implementation and process redesign.
  • Proficient in PC usage, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Access. Familiarity with MS Dynamics or Axapta ERP systems is ideal.
  • Strong business acumen with solid reporting and analytical skills, including business case analysis and cost/expense projections.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills in team-based problem-solving scenarios.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of managing workload with minimal supervision, demonstrating a sense of urgency to achieve business objectives.
  • Travel requirements will be approximately 10% during training and ramp-up phases, subject to change based on business needs.
