**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting with the compilation of periodic statements of product cost and preparing appropriate operating reports.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist with the compilation of periodic statements of product cost and prepare appropriate operating reports.
  • Follow up expenditures of appropriations and assemble data and comparisons of various budget items.
  • Review completed product manufacturing costs and review and analyze unit costs of finished products.
  • Develop or improve methods of calculating and controlling costs. Compile cost data for use in developing operating budgets.
  • Actively drive cost improvements and projects.
  • Perform variance analysis between actual, prior, and standard costs.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on inventory valuation, production, supply chain, sourcing, R&D expenses, Capital Expenditures, and various other costs.
  • Track R&D budgets and actuals at project level which allows appropriate decision making for development efforts.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  • Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Drive business case justification in sourcing analysis, capital expenditure justification, or other miscellaneous decision-making activities.
  • Lead or support special projects as requested.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Finance or Accounting, plus 5 years of directly related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial analysis, standard and direct cost accounting.
  • Demonstrated process/discrete manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with direct cost implementation and process redesign are preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of PC usage required to include using the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Access. Ideally possesses MS Dynamics or Axapta ERP systems.
  • Strong business orientation. Solid reporting and analysis skills, business case analysis, analyzing projections of costs/expense against actual figures, budgeted expenses against actuals, and suggesting methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Identify areas for improvement and take necessary steps to implement changes.
  • Advanced people skills in team problem solving situations.
  • Self-starter that can manage workload with minimal direction or supervision, with a sense of urgency to achieve stated business goals.
