Job Summary

As a Patient Access Representative with McLaren Health Care, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth registration and financial clearance process for patients. Under general direction, you will be responsible for completing tasks associated with specific assignments, including registration, financial clearance, insurance verification, and cashier duties. Your attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently will be essential in meeting quality and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner.

2. Respond promptly and professionally to all customers' needs, providing exceptional service and support.

3. Collaborate effectively with the McLaren Health Care team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

4. Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

5. Under general direction, complete tasks accurately and timely, seeking guidance and direction from supervisors and senior representatives as needed.

Requirements

Minimum:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum 6 months of Patient Access, Medical Billing, or Customer Service work experience

Proven skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word, and Windows-based applications

Ability to travel to or between clinics for float positions

Preferred:

Associate Degree in Health Care, Finance, or related area

Certification in medical billing, coding, or equivalent job-specific certification

Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes
