Role Overview:

Lucid Motors is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Engineering Tools Quality and Technical Support Specialist to join our Headquarters support team. This role is pivotal in promoting CAD best practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in supporting engineering software tools, identifying business process inefficiencies, and implementing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:
  • Collaborate with lead CAD engineers and Engineering Tools colleagues to create the Lucid CAD Best Practices manual.
  • Monitor the CAD development status of Lucid products in PLM, identifying and addressing issues.
  • Establish CAD quality checks for internal and partner use, driving their implementation through automation (e.g., Q-Checker) and/or CAD methodologies.
  • Develop guidelines for data exchange with external suppliers.
CAD Practices: Support the engineering team by providing:
  • Assistance with Configuration Management, Engineering Tools Support, and PLM change coordination.
  • Coaching and support to Design Engineers through on-site and remote assistance.
  • Technical and methodological guidance for complex CAD data exchanges as needed.
  • CAD restructuring to facilitate Supplier Collaboration rules and rapid engineering changes.
Technical Support:
  • Offer essential technical assistance and guidance to Design Engineers, helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CATIA 3DX (e.g., procedural, licensing/roles).
Qualifications:

Experience:
  • 5+ years of direct experience with CATIA CAD design, preferably with CATIA 3DExperience. Experience in aerospace, automotive, or complex manufactured products is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CAD/PDM/PLM data management principles, including lifecycle states, data linkages, Model-based Definition, and CAD quality.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD quality management tools (e.g., Q-Checker, i-Check, custom).

  • Excellent communication skills, both in group settings and one-on-one interactions.
