Role Responsibilities:


We invite you to take on a pivotal role as a Senior Accountant in the wine industry. Our organization is a leading entity in the manufacturing sector, committed to delivering outstanding wines.

We are in search of a seasoned professional with a passion for finance and accounting within the wine industry.

This is a permanent, full-time role that requires on-site presence.

The successful candidate will oversee financial analysis, cost accounting, general ledger management, insurance renewals, production costs, and compliance with federal and state excise tax regulations across various entities.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be integral to our financial operations.

Your key duties will include:

  • Supervising the accounting functions of multiple entities, focusing on their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and established policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing all facets of the general ledger, including the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
  • Conducting detailed financial analyses to identify significant business issues, performance metrics, and strategic decision points.
  • Managing insurance renewals and overseeing compliance with federal and state excise tax obligations.
  • Evaluating production costs and pinpointing opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Utilizing NetSuite software for financial management and operational tasks.
  • Developing and maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Projecting and planning future financial activities for the organization.

Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the wine sector.
  • Extensive experience in managing multiple entities and handling complex financial analyses.
  • Expertise in cost accounting and general ledger management.
  • Experience with insurance renewals and federal and state excise tax management.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite software or similar financial management tools.
  • Strong forecasting capabilities and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
