This is a permanent, full-time role that necessitates onsite work.The successful candidate will oversee financial analysis, cost accounting, general ledger management, insurance renewals, production costs, and federal and state excise taxes across various entities.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be integral to our financial operations.
Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Supervising the accounting functions of multiple entities, focusing on their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and established policies and procedures.
- Managing all facets of the general ledger, including the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Conducting intricate financial analyses to illuminate critical business issues, performance metrics, and decision-making points.
- Overseeing insurance renewals and managing federal and state excise tax obligations.
- Evaluating production costs and pinpointing opportunities for cost reduction.
- Utilizing NetSuite software for financial oversight and operations.
- Establishing and maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
- Forecasting and strategizing future financial endeavors for the organization.
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the wine industry.
- Extensive experience in managing multiple entities and navigating complex financial analyses.
- Proficiency in cost accounting and general ledger management.
- Experience with insurance renewals and handling federal and state excise taxes.
- Proficiency in utilizing NetSuite software or similar financial management tools.
- Strong forecasting capabilities and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
