Position: Operational Risk Analyst

Essential Qualifications

  • Over 15 years of experience in business analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Manager Control Assessment (MCA), also recognized as Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
  • Strong background in Operational Risk processes, including RCSA, Operational Losses, and Issue Management.
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, particularly in managing teams of Business Analysts across diverse geographical regions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to apply complex analytical and problem-solving techniques effectively.
  • Robust techno-functional knowledge with experience in solution architecture and product development.
  • Experience in managing regulatory compliance deliverables under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in coordinating the implementation of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) systems (RCSA) involving cross-functional teams and vendors, utilizing platforms such as MetricStream or IBM OpenPages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and exhibit proficiency in Manager Control Assessment (MCA) and Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
  • Oversee Operational Risk functions, including RCSA, Operational Losses, and Issue Management.
  • Utilize agile methodologies to drive project success.
  • Provide functional leadership to ensure efficient design, development, and implementation of processes.
  • Formulate strategies and guidelines for staffing, resource management, budget oversight, and standard definition.
  • Address issues that extend beyond immediate areas of responsibility, applying comprehensive business analysis knowledge.
  • Define project scope and objectives for moderately complex initiatives through research and understanding of relevant business processes and industry standards.
  • Create visual business process flows to illustrate current versus target states and summarize project scope.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather comprehensive requirements for upcoming releases, system enhancements, and prioritize accordingly.
  • Engage with regional and global Risk teams, partnering with other control functions to train and support system users.
  • Establish and uphold internal communication processes and standards across various business and technology groups.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing to ensure adequate test coverage and system functionality.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve objectives, influencing and negotiating with senior leaders across functions.
  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complex and dynamic situations, leveraging a diverse range of internal and external resources.
