About the Role

Talent Software Services is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Technical Documentation: Create and update technical documents, including user manuals, guides, and policies, to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Agency requirements.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with internal teams, including agency leadership, project directors, technical directors, and business stakeholders, to create information security-related business and technical documents.
  • Coordinate Office of Cybersecurity Administrative Policies: Coordinate the development and maintenance of Office of Cybersecurity administrative policies and documentation, including creating, sharing, revising, and publishing policies and procedures.
  • Assist with POAM Processes and Documentation: Assist management with POAM processes and documentation, including editing the POAM dashboard and submitting to regulatory audits and assessments.
  • Develop and Maintain CMS Regulation Compliance Documents: Develop, maintain, and submit documents for CMS regulation compliance, working with internal and external teams to create information security documents and artifacts.
  • Communicate Complex Information: Use writing and communication skills to make complex information easier to digest, creating artifacts and supporting documentation that increase users' understanding.
  • Organize and Maintain Document Repository: Organize and maintain a repository of all documents and artifacts, revising documents as changes or modifications to information systems and services occur.
  • Facilitate Office of Cybersecurity Meetings: Actively scribe and facilitate scope-related Office of Cybersecurity meetings, listening, summarizing, and capturing essential elements for project meeting minutes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or Similar Discipline
  • 2+ Years of Documented Information Technology-Related Work Experience
  • 2+ Years of Technical Writing Experience
  • Ability to Communicate Effectively
  • Ability to Interact with Internal and External Vendors and Teams
  • Ability to Write, Edit, and Prepare Presentations of Technical Information
  • Experience in Organizing Information for Technical Explanations
  • Ability to Collaborate and Coordinate with Multiple Teams and Vendors
  • Ability to Work Independently and as a Member of a Team
  • Ability to Multitask and Prioritize Tasks Effectively
  • Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office
  • Keen Attention to Detail and Ability to See the Big Picture
  • Demonstrable Understanding of English Grammar and Usage
  • Ability to Accept Changes and Constructive Criticism
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior Experience in Writing System Security Plans, Advance Planning Documents, or Similar Documents
  • Experience with CMS MARS-E 2.2 or Other NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) Compliant Programs
  • Prior Experience with Bizagi
  • Previous Public Sector Work Experience
  • Experience with an eGRC Tool
