Rochester Electronics is actively seeking a Junior Process Engineer
With over four decades of experience, Rochester Electronics collaborates with more than 70 prominent semiconductor manufacturers to deliver a reliable source of essential semiconductors. Position Summary
The Junior Process Engineer for Test is responsible for developing and documenting manufacturing methodologies, materials, tools, and processes related to back-end semiconductor testing and automation. This role involves performing analyses and selecting techniques to address challenges and improve product yield, process flow, and overall efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs high-yield, cost-effective processes tailored to product specifications and customer demands.
- Stays informed about advancements in manufacturing and design technologies.
- Conducts and implements Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization using relevant statistical analysis software, such as JUMP, Minitab, Excel Statistics, or similar tools.
- Establishes processes in accordance with product specifications.
- Assesses and validates process and design alternatives to ensure manufacturability.
- Understands cost of goods sold principles and develops process enhancements to improve manufacturing cost-effectiveness.
- Recognizes intellectual property considerations related to developed processes.
- Maintains effective communication and collaboration with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors at all levels.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience in Test engineering.
- Familiarity with MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001, and EIA/JEDEC standards.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in test manufacturing and/or engineering.
- Skills:
- Experience with Back-End Automated Test Equipment.
- Background in engineering and statistical techniques is preferred.
- Training and mentoring capabilities.
- Evaluation of equipment, materials, and methodologies.
- Commitment to high quality and continuous improvement.
