General Overview

This role involves collaboration with Process Engineering and fellow Engineering Technicians to develop and sustain manufacturing methodologies and processes. The technician will apply established techniques to address challenges and can suggest and implement improvements to products, workflows, and equipment settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Process Engineers in creating efficient, cost-effective processes tailored to product specifications and customer demands.
  • Set up and operate machinery, optimize procedures, and manage setups and transitions with minimal guidance.
  • Support and educate operators on equipment and recipe-related challenges with limited external assistance.
  • With some supervision, troubleshoot and resolve intermediate process-related challenges.
  • Under the guidance of Process Engineers, execute design of experiments (DOE) and collect data for further analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, quality standards, and assigned tasks.
  • With direction from Process Engineers, apply principles of Cost of Goods Sold and implement process enhancements to boost manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Maintain positive and collaborative communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and suppliers at all levels.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of an associate degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is required; a higher degree is preferred. Additionally, at least 3 years of relevant engineering or semiconductor assembly experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001, and EIA/JEDEC standards.
  • Proven electro-mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Capability to work effectively within a team and as an independent contributor with some autonomy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Ability to accurately follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficient in prioritizing assigned projects under the guidance of process owners.
  • Able to thrive in a highly matrixed and diverse business environment.
  • Understanding of workplace safety regulations (e.g., basic OSHA regulations).
