Job Summary

Rochester Electronics L is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-yielding, cost-effective processes for back-end semiconductor assembly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development: Establish and document manufacturing techniques, materials, tools, and processes related to back-end semiconductor assembly.
  • Problem-Solving: Perform analyses and select techniques to solve problems and enhance product yield and process flows.
  • Design of Experiments: Develop and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization utilizing appropriate statistical analysis software.
  • Process Optimization: Establish processes based on product specifications and evaluate and validate process and design alternatives based on product manufacturability.
  • Cost Management: Understand principles of cost of goods sold and develop process improvements to increase the cost-effectiveness of manufacturing.
  • Intellectual Property: Understand intellectual property issues relative to processes being developed.
  • Communication: Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in the engineering discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing, with semiconductor experience preferred.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001, and EIA/JEDEC standards.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite.
