Identity Access Management Systems Architect

Role Summary
We are in search of a Systems Architect specializing in Identity Access Management (IAM) with a strong technical background to join our IT engineering team. This role is pivotal in the architectural design and ongoing enhancement of our cloud-based systems, particularly focusing on IAM solutions like Okta. The Systems Architect will strategize, design, construct, and integrate various systems to develop solutions such as role-based access management and user lifecycle management, aimed at boosting productivity and fortifying security.
The Systems Architect will ensure exceptional service delivery across all GuidePoint IT platforms, providing outstanding support to clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement comprehensive solutions to facilitate identity federation and robust access control frameworks (e.g., SAML 2.0, OAuth, SCIM), ensuring the maintainability and supportability of these solutions.
- Establish standardized processes for Access Management utilizing Okta.
- Promote automation through Okta workflows, continuously enhancing IAM standards, procedures, security patterns, and governance.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders in application and business teams to ensure client satisfaction through innovative IAM solutions.
- Engage with vendor partners to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing Access Management services to employees and contractors, focusing on forward engineering, proof of concept design patterns, and the automation of manual processes to enhance efficiency.
- Apply advanced knowledge of IAM concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a diverse range of projects and tasks.
- Work independently with vendor partners, security architecture, application architecture, and business stakeholders to enable and integrate applications into GuidePoint Security's IAM capabilities through existing or new IAM frameworks.
- Support a wide array of IT systems across GuidePoint as part of the broader Systems Support Team.
- Develop and publish knowledge articles for IAM partners to facilitate effective integration with IAM solutions.
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to team members and partners.
- Encourage innovation and automation within the organization by developing or enhancing products, procedures, metrics, or technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in relevant cloud system administration roles within large organizations with over 1,000 employees.
- Proficiency in Okta, G-Suite, Kandji, Intune, iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows.
- Experience in implementing, supporting, and enhancing highly automated role-based access solutions using Okta or similar technologies.
- Advanced development skills for automating workflows and tasks using JSON, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java, JavaScript, SAML, SCIM, etc.
- Strong system administration skills with AWS or GCP.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritizing tasks.
- Familiarity with industry and security standards such as NIST, ITIL, SOX, SOC, GDPR, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure clarity in technical solutions for internal partners and customers.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
Travel Expectations:
- Minimal travel required - approximately 10%.
