Role Overview:

We are in search of an Engineering Manager to join our Cement Competence Center. This role will involve leading a diverse team of technical experts and contract engineers focused on developing innovative solutions for our new carbon capture facility. Your extensive engineering expertise will be crucial in ensuring optimal design, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to regulatory standards. As the project transitions to the construction phase, you will also provide essential support to contractors and assist in commissioning efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the preparation of technical pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, including cost assessments for CCUS applications at our prioritized manufacturing sites.
  • Collaborate with internal technical experts and external partners to refine project criteria, guidelines, and standards based on the latest industry codes and methodologies.
  • Oversee the procurement process by preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and making recommendations for contract awards.
  • Review and provide insights on project documentation, including technical recommendations and commissioning plans.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders through presentations and team meetings.
  • Organize comprehensive technical reviews of project documents and development plans.
  • Contribute to carbon capture initiatives at other Lehigh Hanson facilities.
  • Provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, including design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, with a strong background in leading multi-disciplinary teams through all project phases.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in fields such as CCUS, Hydrogen, Industrial Gas, Oil and Gas, or Chemical industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of systems design, fabrication processes, and engineering materials.
  • Proven engineering skills with the ability to engage with various engineering disciplines.
  • Familiarity with piping and process systems design, as well as industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation and development.
  • Effective time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Eligibility for professional engineering registration.
