PEAK Technical Staffing USA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering efforts on critical projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects, collaborating with clients, and maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Lead engineer for assigned projects as the Engineer-of-Record, manage schedules, budgets, and day-to-day communication for the projects.
- Client Interface: Communicate with the design team, account managers, estimators, construction team, and client to ensure seamless project execution.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for other divisions of the Company, write technical reports and engineering studies, and conduct site surveys and troubleshooting of building systems.
- Design and Documentation: Create permit and construction documents that are accurate, complete, and code compliant, and coordinate scopes of work with sub-contractors and other trade partners.
- Construction Administration: Actively participate in construction administration activities, including submittal review, RFI responses, punchlists, and attendance at construction meetings.
- Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) - preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field of study.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of building codes and standards, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, controls, and process/industrial systems, and experience using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to proactively manage project schedules and deliverables to meet project deadlines.
- Regular travel to project sites and occasional out-of-state travel.
- Exposure to outdoors and construction sites.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders.
