Adam Search Group presents an exciting opportunity for a Financial Operations Manager. This pivotal position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is designed for a candidate who aspires to advance into the CFO role in the future. This diverse role encompasses daily Accounting, Tax, and Technology support.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Tax Management - Prepare or review necessary filings, oversee monthly financial closing processes, including quarterly and year-end activities, and generate periodic reports along with required legal documentation.

Investment Oversight - Supervise and review investment reporting. Monitor investment basis for federal and state requirements. Occasionally assess private equity valuations.

Internal Control Enhancement - Assist in refining and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and documentation. Support closing functions including General Ledger management, reconciliations, journal entries, and more.

Technology Collaboration - Partner with IT and external technology providers to support software, hardware, and security needs.

Qualifications:

  • CPA certification with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience in tax return preparation for individuals, corporations, LLCs, foundations, and trusts
  • Background in public accounting with a focus on federal and state/local tax
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with all organizational levels
  • A sense of humor
