Job Summary

The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the property, including financial management, resident relations, and leasing activities. This role involves ensuring the property's performance and value through detailed financial reporting, effective budgeting, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Facilitate rent collections, manage delinquency accounts, and prepare detailed financial reports.
  • Budget and Financial Planning: Assist in preparing annual budgets and long-term financial plans, monitor budget performance, and recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise property staff, ensure high standards of maintenance, leasing, and resident services, and coordinate daily operations.
  • Resident Relations and Customer Service: Respond to resident requests, resolve complaints, and implement customer service standards.
  • Leasing and Marketing: Conduct property tours, oversee leasing processes, and develop sales and marketing strategies to attract and retain residents.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations and company best practices throughout the prospect and resident lifecycle.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain proficiency in property management software, handle administrative tasks, and support the General Manager as needed.
Requirements
  • 3 years of managerial experience in property management with a focus on financial oversight and operational management.
  • Proficiency in property management software and financial tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in property management or accounting (e.g., CPM, CAM, CPA).
