Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Enrollment Specialist II to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in determining medical assistance eligibility for patients and clients in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Eligibility and Enrollment:
    • Interview patients and clients to determine their living and financial situation, calculate applicable income and assets, and determine eligibility for medical assistance programs.
    • Clearly explain medical assistance programs to patients and clients and assist them in completing necessary forms to apply for these programs.
    • Identify, research, and resolve complex problems related to eligibility determinations for medical assistance programs.
  • Case Maintenance for Medicaid and Other Programs:
    • Effectively and accurately follow established work procedures and guidelines to efficiently manage Medicaid case maintenance and redetermination processes.
    • Receive, process, and verify CHP+ enrollment fees and Medicaid Buy-In premium payments.
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Collect data using various tracking tools to monitor performance.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Work Experience:
    • 1-3 years of related experience required.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Knowledge of medical and/or public assistance programs, including Medicaid, CHP+, CICP, DFAP, and Connect of Health Colorado health plans.
    • Knowledge of federal and Colorado statutes, legislative initiatives, and regulations, as well as federal, state, and local policies.
    • Knowledge of the eligibility determination system CBMS, Epic, Salesforce, and Five9 systems.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Skilled in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement.
    • Skilled in providing excellent customer service.
    • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a thorough, clear, and professional manner.
    • Ability to simultaneously coordinate and manage several functions, programs, and tasks in various stages of completion.
    • Ability to consistently implement program, department, and organizational policies and procedures.
    • Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team environment.
    • Ability to treat all individuals with courtesy, dignity, empathy, and respect.
