Position Overview: The Civil Site Engineer will serve as either a staff or lead design engineer, depending on qualifications and experience. This role involves collaboration with the technical team and project manager to ensure the successful execution of various projects. The Civil Site Engineer will oversee the production of plans, conduct and assess design calculations, ensure quality assurance, and provide support to both internal and external project teams on diverse site and civil land development engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers to formulate engineering designs and ensure timely delivery of project outcomes.
  • Employ AutoCAD Civil 3D to create engineering plans and visual representations.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to meet project goals regarding scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
  • Offer technical guidance in areas such as site and civil design, hydrology and hydraulics, erosion control, and stormwater management.
  • Assist with permitting processes involving local municipalities, with prior experience being advantageous.
  • Engage with the project management team to identify potential challenges and devise effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Site/Civil Design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience with relevant codes and regulations, engineering plan interpretation, stormwater facility design, site grading, and local/state permitting for land disturbance.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and stormwater management calculations; familiarity with Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Microsoft Suite, and other relevant software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management capabilities.
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor and engage in professional development.
