Position Summary:

The Civil Site Engineer will serve as either a staff or lead design engineer, contingent on experience, collaborating closely with the technical team and assisting the project manager in delivering meticulously executed projects. Responsibilities include directing plan production, conducting and reviewing design calculations, ensuring quality assurance, and supporting both internal and external project teams across a diverse range of site/civil land development engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers to formulate engineering designs and oversee the execution of deliverables.
  • Employ AutoCAD Civil 3D to create engineering plans and visual representations.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary team members to meet project objectives, including scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables, in alignment with established metrics.
  • Provide specialized knowledge in site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management.
  • Assist with permitting processes involving County and local municipalities; familiarity with local regulations is advantageous.
  • Engage with the project management team to identify challenges and devise effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Site/Civil Design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience with relevant codes and regulations, interpreting engineering plans, designing stormwater facilities, site grading, and navigating local and state permitting for land disturbance.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and stormwater management calculations; experience with Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Microsoft Suite, and other pertinent software is a plus.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of, organize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent client service in a timely and professional manner.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail, and analytical capabilities.
  • Willingness to collaborate in a team environment; mentoring and professional development are encouraged.
