Position Overview: The Civil Site Engineer will take on a role as either a staff or lead design engineer, contingent on experience, collaborating closely with the technical team and assisting the project manager in delivering high-quality projects to our clients. This role involves overseeing plan production, conducting and reviewing design calculations, ensuring quality assurance, and supporting both internal and external project teams across a range of site/civil land development engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers to formulate engineering designs and oversee the execution of deliverables.
- Employ AutoCAD Civil 3D to create engineering plans and visual aids.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to guarantee that project goals (scope, schedule, budget, deliverables) are achieved in line with established standards.
- Provide specialized knowledge in site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management.
- Assist with permitting processes involving County and local municipalities; familiarity with local regulations is advantageous.
- Engage with the project management team to identify obstacles and devise effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Site/Civil Design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven track record with codes and regulations, interpreting engineering plans, designing stormwater facilities, site grading, and managing local and state permitting for land disturbance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and stormwater management calculations. Familiarity with Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Microsoft Suite, and other relevant software is a plus.
- Ability to take ownership of, organize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service in a timely and professional manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment; mentoring and professional development are encouraged.
