Position Summary
The Facilities Operations Engineer will collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager to oversee all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) operations and maintenance, ensuring alignment with our quality standards and operational goals. This role requires a strong MEP knowledge base and the ability to support multiple properties effectively.

Key Responsibilities
As a Facilities Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing plant operations, including startup and shutdown procedures.
  • Conducting operational rounds to ensure optimal performance.
  • Performing chemical analysis tests and reporting any irregularities.
  • Reading utility meters for steam, gas, water, and electricity.
  • Responding to various requests and prioritizing tasks to resolve immediate issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintaining inventory of parts and supplies as directed.
  • Assisting in the training and development of team members.
  • Operating and maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and MEP equipment.
  • Implementing preventative maintenance and repairs on MEP systems.
  • Administering adjustments to HVAC systems to maintain comfort levels.
  • Analyzing operational data to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Completing all required safety training and other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an MEP-focused role.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (skilled trades education preferred).
  • EPA Universal 608 Certification (preferred).

Position Qualifications
We seek individuals who demonstrate:

  • Continuous education and skill development in MEP.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and using hand and power tools.
