Overview:

The Office of Policy and Strategic Initiatives (OPSI) is responsible for overseeing legislative, regulatory, and internal policies, as well as accreditation and strategic planning for the Department of Public Health. The OPSI reports directly to the Commissioner's office.

Minimum Qualifications - General Experience:

Nine (9) years of professional experience.

Minimum Qualifications - Special Experience:

One (1) year of the General Experience must have been in the specific area of assignment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interpreting laws and writing regulations
  • Experience collaborating with program areas to develop responsive regulations
  • Background in legal fields such as paralegal or law
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills
  • Experience addressing public health regulatory issues
