Broadcast IT Systems Engineer

The Broadcast IT Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing, monitoring, and managing the corporate and broadcast IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring the smooth operation of business workflows, broadcast workflows, and event production technologies across various locations that support our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the installation and integration of IT-centric workflows and technologies that facilitate real-time broadcasting and production.
  • Provide on-site assistance for live event staging and broadcasting, demonstrating proficiency in live video production techniques.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and maintenance activities to ensure maximum uptime, often in high-pressure live environments.
  • Guide and support Tier 1 resources in resolving complex technical issues.
  • Oversee and manage the Office 365/Exchange hybrid email system.
  • Participate in departmental support on a rotating basis for arena events, ensuring 24/7 coverage.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including as-builts, wire lists, cable labeling, and other essential drawings.
  • Complete scheduled change requests and communicate real-time updates on active issues.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations for equipment purchases, upgrades, or replacements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supporting computer hardware, networking, and PC operating systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years of multimedia experience, particularly in live events and broadcast production.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2016, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Office 365.
  • Proven experience in advanced problem-solving techniques and system monitoring.
  • High level of integrity, capable of handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Self-starter with the capability to manage daily tasks, follow through on issues, and exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with online streaming platforms such as YouTube and Twitch, among others used for internet-based transmission.
  • Knowledge of Visio/AutoCAD for creating and interpreting technical documentation.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
