Job Summary

The Assembly and Balance Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving business objectives within the GE Aviation organization. This position requires a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise in solving complex technical problems, developing and executing strategic objectives, coaching global teams, and communicating effectively with leadership. The successful candidate will focus on optimizing Assembly Rotor Stack and Balance processes for GE Aviation production and overhaul facilities through best practice development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and expertise to global engine assembly rotor teams, serving as a consulting resource and mentor.
  • Project Execution: Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, and product requirements.
  • Training and Development: Create and teach training materials related to engine assembly rotor stack and balance best practices.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and present key project milestones to leadership teams, participate in technical and program reviews, and work directly with global teams to leverage assembly best practices across sites.
  • Equipment Liaison: Serve as the technical liaison to equipment manufacturers, providing technical specifications and ensuring on-time machine/equipment delivery.
  • Travel and Teamwork: Some domestic and international travel required, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in rotor structure hardware and engine assembly) + minimum of 3 years of experience in rotor structure hardware and engine assembly.
