Position Overview

The World-Wide Technology Deployment (WWTD) Team is in search of a seasoned leader to spearhead the strategy and implementation of our Global Partners and Vendor Management Team. We seek a candidate with demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, execution, analytical assessment, and negotiation to support our engineering and field deployment initiatives. This leader will be responsible for nurturing relationships with partners in robotics and automation installation, as well as technology and service vendors.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager of Technical Vendor Management will:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive vendor utilization strategy, encompassing planning, forecasting, and articulating our business requirements to partners, thereby facilitating operational scalability.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors to achieve sustainable cost reductions while enhancing operational efficiency, in addition to establishing pricing strategies that align with new deployment models.
  • Oversee the procurement, execution, and performance assessment of our technical vendors, while innovating new vendor KPIs, performance dashboards, and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential new partners to enhance capabilities, generating and implementing innovative ideas to drive business improvements and scalability across the Deployment Engineering domain.
  • Analyze trends and tools, both internal and external, that are pertinent to our vendor management strategy and assess their integration into existing workflows.

A Day in the Life

As the leader of the Global Partners and Vendor Management team, you will play a pivotal role in positioning World-Wide Technology Deployment for success. Through your global team, you will manage the entire lifecycle of our Partner and Vendor relationships, from bid cycles and negotiations to readiness management and performance tracking during delivery. You will drive global standardization while being adaptable to regional requirements. Your role involves enhancing and evolving our existing partnerships, ensuring we are consistently equipped to meet the dynamic technology landscape and the needs of our internal stakeholders.

The World Wide Technology Deployment (WWTD) team provides services to our global clientele, enabling them to realize the full potential of automation solutions. We deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality integrations at scale to address emerging network and business demands. Our approach involves collaborating with both upstream and downstream customers to foster innovation and conduct rapid experimentation, thereby accelerating the maturity of complex solutions throughout the product lifecycle for simplified execution.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in team leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering cross-functional projects.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management.
  • Proven ability to define program requirements and utilize data and metrics for improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
