Washington, Washington, D.C., United States Booz Allen Hamilton Full time

Position Overview:

Are you driven by the desire to enhance global mobility and corporate-sponsored immigration frameworks for an International Operations center of excellence (COE) that supports organizational missions across various international settings?

As a Lead Specialist in Global Mobility Programs, you will collaborate with program leadership and core operations to evaluate and innovate Global Mobility and Immigration policies and solutions. Your goal will be to ensure competitiveness, compliance, and streamlined processes while delivering exceptional customer experiences. The policies you will oversee include U.S. Domestic Relocation, International Assignment Relocation, Assignment Allowances, U.S. and Global Immigration, Tax Equalization, and Secondments. You will also take on a leadership role, guiding Global Mobility Specialists in providing consultation and advisory services.

Your expertise in scaling programs within rapidly growing organizations, utilizing data analytics for informed decision-making, and developing automation for process enhancements will be essential. Experience in U.S. government contracting under FAR compliance and commercial environments is preferred. You will ensure thorough analysis of policies, creating system repositories to document precedents for exceptions or unique circumstances. Your ability to analyze and organize policies using platforms like SharePoint, along with developing change management strategies and communications for policy updates, will be critical. You will offer consultative advice and solutions to enterprise and client-facing teams, clarifying and interpreting policies for contract proposals, special scenarios, telework evaluations, and exception requests. Additionally, you will work closely with Global Mobility Core Operations to integrate policy with processes and provide training for Talent Acquisition, HR business partners, and other stakeholders.

Immigration Expertise:

As the Immigration Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be the primary contact for employees requiring corporate immigration sponsorship. This includes managing relationships with external Immigration Counsel, overseeing statements of work, and ensuring service level agreements are met. Your focus will be on delivering customer-centered experiences for our foreign national workforce who require company-sponsored U.S. non-immigrant visas, Green Cards, and global work permits.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in corporate Global Mobility and Immigration, covering U.S. Domestic Relocation, International Assignments, and U.S. non-immigrant visas, including H1B and L visas, PERM, or global immigration.
  • Proven experience in people management, including coaching, mentoring, and training team members.
  • Strong background in expatriate compensation, including balance sheet approaches, cost of living differentials, housing, tax equalization, and dependent education programs.
  • Experience managing RFPs for new vendors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with Workday.
  • Knowledge of core-flex and points-based systems for relocation and allowance packages.
  • Understanding of digital project planning platforms, such as Smartsheet.
  • Expertise in system optimization.
  • High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience in corporate global mobility and immigration program management, or a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in scaling a Center-of-Excellence (COE) with standardized processes and policies, utilizing automation and self-service tools.
  • Knowledge of FAR and government cost accounting.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a client service orientation.

Your professional growth is important to us. We provide various opportunities for career development, including upskilling programs, tuition reimbursement, mentoring, and networking events.
