About the Role:
Our client, a distinguished consumer brand, is in search of a Temporary Copywriter to bolster their creative team.
Contract Details:
40 hours per week
Hybrid work model – Onsite 3 days a week
Compensation: Up to $50/hour based on experience
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's voice across all marketing materials, ensuring a cohesive narrative that resonates with consumers. This role involves close collaboration with designers, brand strategists, marketing professionals, sales teams, executives, and various cross-functional teams within the organization. Responsibilities will encompass crafting copy for packaging, brand documents, go-to-market messaging, integrated campaigns, e-commerce product descriptions, and other essential copy needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the department's global initiatives
- Develop engaging and persuasive headlines, product descriptions, and marketing collateral
- Effectively communicate complex information to target audiences
- Create compelling copy that distinguishes the brand while adhering to its core attributes: Modern, Clever, and Innovative
- Ensure that all copy aligns with customer needs and supports key business initiatives
- Generate concepts that can be expanded into campaigns and synchronized across various marketing materials
- Interpret and adapt information from creative briefs and other supporting documents
- Possess a deep understanding of marketing strategies and business principles
- Communicate key messages and benefits in alignment with creative briefs and broader brand objectives
- Oversee projects from inception to completion, addressing potential issues proactively and collaborating with design teams
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in English or Journalism
- 3-5 years of copywriting experience in both print and digital formats, with a focus on consumer packaged goods (CPG)
- A digital portfolio showcasing strategic and creative capabilities
- Proficiency in English with strong grammatical, writing, and editorial skills
- In-depth knowledge of CPG advertising techniques and marketing principles
- Ability to quickly grasp technical content and learn new material
- Flexibility and resilience in adapting to changing conditions
- Solid understanding of consumer interactions with various media, with an ability to adjust language accordingly
- Ability to respond swiftly to shifting priorities with a sense of urgency
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in marketing copywriting
- Experience utilizing digital metrics to inform strategies is a plus
- Exceptional writing skills with a meticulous approach to editing and proofreading
- Strong communication skills, providing regular updates on project progress
- A desire to continuously learn and evolve in the dynamic digital marketing landscape
