1) Delivers exceptional customer service by warmly greeting and assisting every individual encountered.2) Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare facility to address inquiries from patients and visitors, ensuring their needs are met.
3) Secures necessary authorization before permitting visitors to access designated areas, adhering to established protocols.
4) Ensures the availability of transportation aids, such as wheelchairs and walkers, in a timely and efficient manner.
5) Provides essential information regarding patient procedures, directions to various locations, and visitor guidelines including restrictions and waiting areas.
6) Verifies visitor requests against the visitor restriction list to uphold safety standards for patients and staff.
7) Enforces visitor policies as outlined by the healthcare facility.
8) Offers recommendations and coordinates services for visitors seeking transportation, dining, accommodations, and other personal assistance.
Additionally, this position encompasses a variety of tasks aimed at exceeding guest expectations and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
2) Verifies that visitors possess appropriate identification or passes before entering patient care areas.
3) Ensures compliance with pediatric visitation policies, including the completion of necessary health screening forms.
4) Assists in registering potential patients for tours of specific units.
5) Communicates facility needs to relevant departments, including housekeeping and emergency response requirements.
6) Performs light cleaning duties in assigned areas to maintain a tidy environment.
7) Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned by the Guest Services Manager.
8) Collaborates with volunteers to assist patients with navigation and other guest needs.
This role may also involve tasks related to special programs or services available to patients, such as complimentary parking and transportation assistance.
2) Works with clinical teams to arrange transportation for patients requiring wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
3) Partners with nursing staff to address parking needs for visitors with extended stays.
4) Manages departmental communications by responding to emails and taking appropriate actions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficient computer skills, particularly in Excel. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service abilities. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly. Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish, are preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to make sound decisions in unique situations involving customer needs. Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays. Maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations. Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate issues as necessary.
Must be capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and assisting patients with mobility.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently.For heavier lifts, appropriate equipment and assistance will be utilized.
