Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook Lead to join our team at Mercy. As a key member of our food service department, you will be responsible for ensuring a clean, quiet, and productive environment for all coworkers and visitors. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality food service, while also assisting with training and development of new team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general hot and cold production duties within the food service department.
  • Ensure a clean, quiet, and productive environment for all coworkers and visitors.
  • Assure that quality food service is provided at all times.
  • Function in a lead position and assist with training of all new coworkers.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.
  • Participate in special catering events and perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 90 days experience in hospital food service preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Serve Safe Manager certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Proficient with ovens, slicers, food processors.
