Key Responsibilities- Compile payroll data from time sheets and other records, including hours worked, sales volume, bonuses, and commissions.
- Update master payroll records by verifying and recording changes affecting net wages, such as federal and state tax exemptions, insurance coverage, and compensation increases.
- Prepare direct deposit for payroll and maintain records of leave pay and nontaxable wages.
- Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions, and file all hiring and termination paperwork, including COBRA letters.
- Process employee insurance forms and payments in coordination with the office manager.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in computer software and the ability to learn new systems.
- Understanding of employee payroll issues and the ability to communicate solutions effectively and professionally.
