CarMax is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Reconditioning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our inventory preparation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and appearance.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct cosmetic inspections and final quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet CarMax standards
- Perform various cosmetic reconditioning, cleaning, and repair processes, including paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing
- Identify defects and recommend repair methods to ensure vehicles meet CarMax standards
- Drive vehicles on and off lot to facilitate inventory movement
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to our sales team
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in automotive reconditioning or a related field
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
