Job Summary and Qualifications

$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS

As a Respiratory Care Specialist, you will deliver therapeutic modalities as prescribed by physicians, managing all aspects of mechanical ventilation (initiation, operation, monitoring, etc.) and conducting arterial punctures and blood gas analyses.

You will also respond to emergency situations in designated areas.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in the transport of ventilated and critically ill patients, verifying physician orders prior to treatment, providing thorough and accurate reports to incoming staff at the end of your shift, and documenting all patient interactions in the appropriate systems. Additionally, you will perform equipment rounds.

Requirements:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Respiratory Therapy Degree – AAS or BS.
- Minimum one year of critical care experience.
- NICU experience is preferred.
- Prior experience with mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and oximetry.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
