Job Summary:

BRC is seeking a skilled Shift Supervisor to oversee the Community Technicians and assist the Assistant Director of Operations with departmental tasks and goals. The ideal candidate will have a client-centered approach, ensuring security and safety of the building, responding to emergency and crisis situations, and monitoring notable events involving clients and/or staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Community Technicians and assist with departmental tasks and goals
  • Engage individuals in a client-centered approach, ensuring security and safety of the building
  • Respond to emergency and crisis situations, and monitor notable events involving clients and/or staff
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including record keeping and completing statistical reports
  • Attend regularly scheduled team meetings and case conferences when needed
  • Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed

Requirements:

  • H.S. diploma/GED required; B.A. preferred
  • One year supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness and with individuals living with mental illness and substance abuse preferred
  • Experience working in residential settings also preferred
  • Excellent writing skills and computer literacy required
  • NYC Fire Safety Certification, CPR Certification a plus or a willingness to acquire these certifications/licenses
  • Bilingual abilities a plus
