Position Overview:
The Mechanical Construction Manager plays a crucial role in leading and directing daily field operations for assigned projects. This position is responsible for executing the field operations plan in alignment with company objectives to maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Construction Manager, your specific duties will include:

  • Ensuring a safe and secure work environment through regular safety meetings, incident investigations, and fostering employee engagement.
  • Providing leadership and direction for field operations to create a cohesive team in collaboration with project management.
  • Overseeing and coordinating all construction activities on-site.
  • Managing field personnel priorities based on technical skills and staffing needs to enhance efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce costs.
  • Coordinating all site construction activities and supervising field personnel to ensure project completion on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Conducting material take-offs and ordering necessary tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Facilitating installation coordination among trades and monitoring subcontractor progress.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies by all on-site employees.
  • Scheduling equipment deliveries with the General Contractor and coordinating inspections by relevant authorities.
  • Ensuring adherence to state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Maintaining quality of work to meet corporate standards and project specifications.
  • Conducting staff meetings with foremen and field personnel to address management issues, safety, and productivity enhancements.
  • Managing project financials, including labor, material, and other cost-related budgets.
  • Collaborating with the project team to ensure startup and commissioning align with company and project standards.
  • Assisting in the quality assurance of drafting resources and fabrication/manufacturing for the project.
  • Upholding company culture and values.
  • Implementing productivity improvements in the field while ensuring project compliance and quality assurance.
  • Fostering customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Position Details:
This is a Full-Time, Exempt position reporting to the Operations Manager or General Superintendent.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a Plumbing Superintendent with a valid state plumbing license.
  • At least 5 years of experience in large-scale commercial construction projects (e.g., hospitals, high-rise hotels, casinos, office buildings).
  • Experience with medical gas systems.
  • Completion of at least 6 months of safety training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable about industry standards and competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform additional duties as needed.

Travel Requirements:
Travel to job sites or office locations will be minimal, approximately 0-5% of the time.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
Job responsibilities may include prolonged periods of sitting, climbing stairs, and remaining stationary for extended periods. The role may also involve light physical work, including adjusting or moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
