Job Summary

MDA Edge is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and success by identifying and generating new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Generation: Proactively research and identify potential clients through various channels, including industry research, networking events, and market analysis. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads for the sales team.
  2. Qualification and Sales Funnel Management: Engage with leads through targeted outreach methods to assess their needs, qualify their potential as customers, and determine the appropriate next steps in the sales process. Manage and track leads through the sales funnel, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in our CRM system.
  3. Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients, engaging them in meaningful conversations to understand their business challenges and showcase how MDA Edge's products or services can address their needs. Act as a trusted advisor, providing relevant information and resources to help prospects make informed decisions.
  4. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of MDA Edge's products, services, and competitive advantages. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors to effectively articulate the value proposition and differentiate MDA Edge's offerings.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales team, marketing department, and other stakeholders to align efforts and optimize lead generation and conversion strategies. Share insights, feedback, and market intelligence to help refine sales and marketing strategies.
  6. Metrics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, such as lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue generated. Provide regular updates to management on pipeline status, opportunities, and challenges.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in lead generation, prospecting, or sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of sales processes and techniques.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive informed decisions.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the industry and market trends relevant to MDA Edge's products or services is a plus.
