Job Overview:

The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Organization is on the lookout for Cybersecurity Engineering Managers to lead cybersecurity initiatives on various programs. These pivotal roles will utilize extensive experience in program oversight, strategic planning, and multi-disciplinary engineering to enhance our cybersecurity posture.

As a member of our team, you will collaborate with Product Security Engineers and Leaders across Boeing to establish and implement best practices, methodologies, and tools, fostering a diverse technical community dedicated to delivering optimal value to our clients. Your responsibilities will include managing a diverse engineering team, ensuring readiness and capability to provide secure and resilient products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Excellence:

  • Oversee engineering quality and technical integrity in the execution of Cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Establish standards and processes within a multidisciplinary engineering team to consistently deliver solutions that meet performance, schedule, and cost objectives.

Project Leadership:

  • Analyze various statements of work to prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor engineering tasks.
  • Identify and allocate resources necessary for the successful completion of engineering tasks throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Evaluate actual performance against baseline plans to gauge team efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement corrective actions to enhance project outcomes.
  • Utilize Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management processes effectively.
  • Support the recruitment and development of top-tier talent for current and future programs.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Provide leadership in the development and execution of comprehensive project plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Product Security Engineering, program leadership, and other stakeholders.

Technical and Operational Duties:

  • Demonstrate expertise in systems, product security, and/or software engineering, operating throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-site environment.
  • Advocate for product cybersecurity policies and educate program leadership on security requirements.

Work Environment:

This position requires 100% onsite presence at the designated location.

Security Clearance:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Agile project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Manager (CISSM).
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Cybersecurity domain.
  • Experience in leading complex hardware/software projects in an aerospace context.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple development schedules and projects.
  • Experience with IOT or embedded product cybersecurity systems.
