Cybersecurity Operations Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to join our team at MidFirst Bank. As a key member of our Cybersecurity Operations Team, you will play a critical role in recommending, designing, implementing, and supporting the necessary tools to support our cybersecurity program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Security Solutions: Design, implement, and manage multiple security solutions, including SIEM, email security, web security, network and host IPS, vulnerability detection, endpoint protection, PKI, HSM, WAF, NAC, DLP, and other network security technologies.
  • Collaborate with Security Personnel: Collaborate with other security personnel to monitor security vulnerability intelligence sources, identify, analyze, and communicate the impact of new security vulnerabilities with impacted users and management.
  • Develop Security Strategies: Work with information security leadership to develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements and address identified risks.
  • Report Security Risks: Report to management concerning residual risk, vulnerabilities, and other security exposures, including misuse of information assets and noncompliance.
  • Implement Technical Controls: Work with the IT department and members of the information security team to identify, select, and implement technical controls.
  • Research and Evaluate Security Solutions: Research, evaluate, and recommend information-security-related hardware and software, including developing business cases for security investments of current and new technologies.
  • Provide Security Support: Provide direct support to the business and IT staff for security-related issues.
  • Escalate Security Issues: Respond to escalated support tickets to resolve security-related issues; this may involve occasional out-of-hours work, when necessary.
  • Document Security Operations: Assist in the coordination and completion of information security operations documentation.
Requirements
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to enable effective security incident and problem resolution.
  • Stress Management: Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies, with the flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously.
  • Minimal Supervision: Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including vendors and IT-business personnel.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer/client focus, with the ability to manage expectations appropriately, provide a superior customer/client experience, and build long-term relationships.
  • Vulnerability Assessment: Experience with assessing application and network system vulnerabilities.
  • Systems Administration: 4 years of Systems Admin experience.
  • Cybersecurity Experience: 2+ years of Cybersecurity experience.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 5%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Security Certifications: Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GSEC, CEH, OSCP, etc.).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other equivalent experience.
